EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Dearman has been Project Manager and Design Engineer on numerous types of civil engineering projects since Shows and Dearman was formed in January of 1963. The name of the firm was later changed to Shows, Dearman & Waits, Inc. in 1991.

Mr. Dearman has been the County Engineer for Forrest County for the past four (4) years, which involves road and bridge construction. Some projects have involved realigning roads, some involved widening and overlay, some involved complete overlays and reseal, and some involved new bridges. Just recently we let a 2.3 million bridge over Bouie River.

Mr. Dearman is also the City Engineer for Petal, Mississippi and has been involved in numerous projects for the City of Hattiesburg including Urban 3R type projects. He is also been the Engineer for the Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport and the Bobby L. Chain Airport in Hattiesburg for the past 30 years. He has been involved with the building of runways, taxiways and aprons.

Mr. Dearman was the Project Engineer for Canebrake Subdivision just West of Hattiesburg. This subdivision is a 1000-lot development surrounding a 300-acre lake. Mr. Dearman designed the roads, water and sewer systems, as well as all of the drainage and the lake and dam. The total monies spent was about five (5) million dollars.

Mr. Dearman has been the Project Engineer for numerous civil engineering projects at Camp Shelby, and just recently was the Project Engineer on a five (5) million dollar tank range project.

Lately Mr. Dearman has been more involved in the overall management of projects.
